For adults and older teens
Anxiety therapy, with a plan you can follow
For adults and teens 16 and older whose worry, panic or avoidance is crowding out what matters to them.
What sessions look like
Fifty minutes, in person or by video. We start by mapping what sets worry off and what you do to get through it. Then we choose a small step and practice it.
The method
Cognitive behavioral therapy, which pairs understanding with practice: noticing what worry says, and doing, in small planned steps, what it tells you to avoid.
What this is not
It is not a set of calming tricks to use in place of living your life, and it is not a prescription. Medication is a decision for you and a prescriber.
Length and frequency
Your clinician sets the pace with you. We don't promise a number of sessions.

Questions
Three questions about anxiety therapy
How is anxiety different from OCD?
They overlap. In OCD, an obsession is followed by a ritual that gives short relief. Your clinician talks through what you notice and tells you which approach fits.
Can we meet by video?
Yes, if you are in Ohio when we meet. Many people begin in person and move to video, or the other way around.
What do I do between sessions?
A small, specific practice you agreed to. We keep it short, and we change it if it is too much.
How it is paid
How it is paid, and how to begin
Your fee is given in writing before the first session. How fees work explains insurance, receipts and a written estimate.
